Hurricane Ike

A few days ago hurricane Ike went through Texas. They tried to rescue the people but alot of people wouldn't there homes cause they said they didn't have anywhere else to go. Ike blew out the windows of skyscrapers. It cut the power to millions of houses and the water its probably everywhere like what happened during Katrina. As they did during Katrina people went to the store and cleared the shelves. Some left the city, some didn't didn't want to leave there house. Some had guns to protect themselves. I'm not sure what for. If a strong hurricane hit NY I don't know if I would leave.
